Exploring lake bottoms and caves

In Lake Nahuel Huapi, in San Carlos de Bariloche, different scuba dives are possible to observe seabeds with large walls and rocks sculpted by time. In many places of this gigantic lake, walls and caves have been formed that can be explored. You can also observe the trout of Nahuel Huapi. Original lake dives for those looking to venture into the “bowels” of the Cordillera de los Andes.

Exploring the submerged forest

In Lake Traful there’s a submerged forest. The site offers very original and captivating diving possibilities. The diving depth does not exceed 25 meters and the water of “Lago Traful” is known to be the purest of all the lakes in the region, it’s crystal clear! Villa Traful is located in the Nahuel Huapi National Park, near the famous road of the seven lakes, in the Andes of Argentinian Patagonia.

In the area of Puerto Madryn and Peninsula Valdes, different scuba dives can be done. The most famous are undoubtedly the dives that can be done near Punta Loma. There, you can dive among sea lions and sea lions. You are sure to see them!! And if you are lucky, you’ll cross paths with a dolphin. This perspective alone is worth a dive in the area… Also, you can do your baptism and take diving courses to obtain different levels – check!

Pacific Scuba Diving

Observe the submerged Moai of Easter Island

Easter Island and its submerged mysteries

Easter Island (Rapa Nui) is located 3,680 km off the coast of Chile and 4,050 km from Tahiti, in the least planktonic region of the Pacific Ocean, which gives it water with very few particles and a very different color from that of French Polynesia, for example. In addition, this water is not disturbed by any river, and the low industrial activity of the island preserves the place.

Scuba diving on Easter Island is almost exclusively an atmospheric dive. The relief, the visibility, the remoteness, the island and its mysteries… The water is crystal clear, no perception of greenish tones, and depending on the sunshine, the purity of the blue in all its variations, of the surface foam… Deep blue, that’s what we observe… Without forgetting the intense emotion when meeting the submerged Moai!

This absence or almost of plankton is however detrimental to the fauna and flora of the seabed, very discreet, but which does not take away from the beauty of the dive. I recommend this dive in the waters of the Pacific for the photo, the atmosphere and the colors, it is an exceptional place if it had to be recalled.
